Frank Philip Stella (Born: May 12 1936)
Frank Stella is a very prolific artist + has had a skillful hand in painting, printmaking, sculpting, architecture + even dance. He is best known for being one of the greatest living artists + has influenced generations of American artists with his development of minimalist + maximalist styles. In his youth he attended Andover Academy, followed by Princeton University + was briefly married to the art critic, Barbara Rose, in the 1960’s.
Much of his artwork is brightly colored using geometrical shapes.

“I don’t like to say I have given my life to art, I prefer to say that art has given me my life.”
